Judgment of Compliance

Compliance

Narrative of Justification

The process for dismissing a Bennett College board member is outlined in the Board of Trustees By-Laws 2005 (Article XIV).  The policy specifies that a board member can only be dismissed for cause and is entitled to due process.  The process, once cause is established, is a fair vote by the BOT protecting the College and members of the governing board from arbitrary and capricious actions.

As stated in Article XIV (Removal of Trustees);

 A trustee may be removed, after due process and upon 2/3 vote by the board, from the Bennett College Board of Trustees, for cause."
