How can I get help in my course subjects?
All you need to do is sign up for a tutoring session by completing the request form located on this web page or your Bellenet Account. It is also important to remember that once you receive confirmation of a scheduled session from a CLC staff member that you keep such appointments.

What should I bring to tutoring?
Always bring your textbook, class syllabus, class notes, returned assignments (i.e., tests), and a pen or pencil to take notes at each session.
How will the tutor know how to help me?
The CLC will match Professional and/or Peer Tutors based on their area of expertise with each student requesting tutoring.
If I have questions can they be answered via email, text, or phone conversations?
No. It is best to meet with the tutor during your scheduled session, because, the question(s) you have may require the Tutor to conduct instructional activities for greater understanding of skills and strategies.
How long is a tutoring session?
The length of a session varies depending on the needs of the student. However, meetings are scheduled for 1 hour.
Where will my tutoring session be located?
Tutoring sessions are located in the CLC upstairs Merner Hall unless otherwise noted.
How will I know if my tutoring sessions have made a difference?
Demonstrating proficiency, as well as greater clarity and understanding of class assignments along with enhanced written and oral skills, will be evident to your increased in-class participation, accuracy in class assignments, and successful course completion.
