Sponsored Programs & Title III
Sponsored Programs – This area supports the mission of Bennett College for Women by partnering with faculty and staff to obtain and administer proposals and grant applications to federal and state agencies, private foundations and corporations. Sponsored Programs assists with identifying funding opportunities, providing technical assistance during grant preparation, reviewing and approving proposals, and work with the Bennett College community to ensure expenditures are in compliance with the terms of the restricted grant awards. Title III – Title III programs are funded through the U.S. Department of Education, Strengthening Historically Black Colleges and Universities Program. At Bennett College for Women, Title III currently funds six activities. These activities include; strengthening the academic programs for our students through the Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology; enhancing the fund management capabilities or the College; strengthening administrative management in the Institutional Effectiveness and Research areas; strengthening the administrative management of the Office of Sponsored Programs; construction, maintenance and renovation of instructional facilities; and providing project administration and evaluation.
