Advisors are happy to answer parents' general questions about College procedures, resources, and academic programs. As at all institutions, however, the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) prohibit us from discussing specific students without their permission. We strongly encourage all students to discuss their academic progress with their family. If a student would like her advisor to be able to speak directly with his or her parent, the Advising Center has a "Consent to Release Information" form that the student may sign.
