Dear Parent(s) and Family members:
On behalf of the Bennett College Parents’ Association (BPA), we are pleased to welcome new and returning students and parents to Bennett College. My name is Charlene Phillips. I am the President of Bennett Parents’ Association. We are excited about this year with renewed strength, anticipating a great and productive year for staff, students, and families.
The BPA is a group of committed parents and volunteers who support the College by attending local and regional events, geared towards strengthening communication between parents and the College. BPA also supports all fundraisers held by the College. During the holiday season, one of our initiatives includes the “Help a Belle Home for the Holidays” essay campaign, where we assist the winning Belles celebrate the holiday with their family. We also have an on-going Brick Legacy campaign to beautify the campus. The BPA meetings are held twice a year on campus; once in the fall during Family and Friends Weekend and again in the spring during Commencement Weekend.
We have instituted a teleconference to ensure parents are aware of the activities at Bennett College and are an active part of the BPA. This teleconference is held every 4th Monday of each month at 9:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, unless otherwise notified. Conference call information is sent via email. We encourage you to make sure your email is registered by filling out your parents membership form and returning it back to the school along with your annual dues of $25.00.
This year, we the BPA, hope to assist you in understanding your daughter's education and urge you to become actively involved in this process. We encourage families to help cultivate the Bennett College community. Our children are our most precious resource. Our goal is to ensure they receive the best possible education and the experience of a lifetime. The BPA will work to make certain that the voices, concerns, needs of parents, students and staff are heard, keeping in tune with the mission of Bennett.
Charlene Phillips, President
