3.2.10 Administrative staff evaluationsThe institution evaluates the effectiveness of its administrators on a periodic basis. Judgment of Off-Site Review Committee Non-Compliance Comments of Off-Site Review Committee Institutional policy calls for the annual evaluation of the president and all managerial level administrators; however, the Off-Site Committee found little documentation that the policies had been implemented. The policy describes a process where the president is evaluated by the Board of Trustees. The instrument could not be located in the documents provided. The policy also states that the president evaluates the vice presidents annually. Only one complete survey was found (Sample Document of Staff Performance Evaluation). The remaining documents referenced in the report were simply sample forms that had not been completed (Senior Staff Appraisal and Development Plan, Supervisory Staff Performance and Evaluation Form, and Supervisory Staff Self-Performance Evaluation Form). As part of its review, the On-Site Committee may wish to verify that these policies are being implemented. Bennett Focused Response As stated in the compliance certification, the President is evaluated by the Board of Trustees using an established criteria found in Process for Evaluating the President and Senior Staff. The aforementioned document describes the evaluation process and the procedures for completing the evaluations.
