The institution’s policies are clear concerning ownership of materials, compensation, copyright issues, and the use of revenue derived from the creation and production of all intellectual property. These policies apply to students, faculty, and staff.

The Off-Site Committee’s review revealed that the institution’s applicable policy adequately addressed the expectations of the standard for “hired employees.”  This policy was adopted on February 15, 2008 and disseminated through the Faculty Handbook. The Committee was unable to locate any policy that addressed students.

Bennett Focused Response

The College has an intellectual property policy that applies to students and is referenced in the College Catalog 2008-2009 p.58 for communication to students.
