3.7.2 Faculty evaluationThe institution regularly evaluates the effectiveness of each faculty member in accord with published criteria, regardless of contractual or tenured status. Judgment of Off-Site Review Committee Non-Compliance Comments of Off-Site Review Committee The college has a rigorous and well-articulated schedule and multi-faceted methodology for evaluating all faculty, regardless of contractual or tenured status. The process and schedule are published in the Academic Affairs Handbook and Faculty Handbook, and are covered in the orientation of new faculty members. The institution uses a Faculty Performance Evaluation Form to regulate the process. The stated policy is that full-time faculty are evaluated annually, with more formal and in-depth reviews at a mid-point of the tenure seeking process, and as the final review for tenure. In addition, part-time faculty are evaluated less formally in each term of their teaching. The review processes always include a Self-Evaluation, class observations, and student evaluations. The Off-Site Committee was unable to locate documentation verifying that the process and schedule for evaluation of all faculty had been implemented.Bennett Focused Response Bennett College regularly evaluates the effectiveness of each faculty member in accord with published criteria, regardless of contractual or tenured status. However, completed evaluation examples were not included in the compliance response. Consequently, we have included copies of actual faculty evaluation sheets as an attachment to this response. (See Attachment Completed Faculty Evaluation Form). Supporting Documents
