Arts, Humanities, and Education (AHE)

Purpose
The purpose of the Division of Arts, Humanities, and Education is to cultivate creative, critically engaged, and culturally grounded scholar-practitioners who advance equity through transformational learning, artistic expression, historical inquiry, and high-impact educational practice. The division prepares students to become educators, creators, and advocates who strengthen communities and expand access to knowledge.

Science and Technology (ST)

Purpose
The purpose of the Division of Science and Technology is to equip students with scientific literacy, technological proficiency, and research-based problem-solving skills that address real-world challenges in health, environmental stewardship, and innovation. The division prepares ethical scientists and technologists committed to improving quality of life, especially within underserved and marginalized populations.

Academic Programs

  • Biology – Bachelor of Science
  • Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) with concentration options in Health Informatics & Technology and Healthcare Administration & Operations. (Pending final approval)
  • Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) featuring four concentration tracks: Epidemiology and Disease Prevention; Community Health and Equity; Maternal and Child Health; and Mental Health Advocacy and Policy. (Pending final approval)

Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS)

Purpose
The purpose of the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences is to develop empathetic, socially responsible leaders who analyze human behavior, understand systemic inequities, and create solutions that support community wellbeing. Through scholarship, applied research, and service, the division prepares students to promote justice, inform public policy, and advance equity across diverse social contexts.

Business and Entrepreneurship (BE)

Purpose
The purpose of the Division of Business and Entrepreneurship is to empower students with the analytical, entrepreneurial, and leadership skills necessary to build sustainable enterprises and drive economic mobility. The division fosters innovation, ethical decision-making, and financial literacy, preparing graduates to create value, close wealth gaps, and lead in a global economy.

Global and Communication Studies (GCS)

Purpose
The purpose of the Division of Global and Communication Studies is to prepare students to engage thoughtfully and effectively in an interconnected world by cultivating global awareness, intercultural competence, and strategic communication skills. The division equips students to shape public narratives, influence policy, advocate for equity, and lead across international, digital, and community-based platforms.
