BACKGROUND
Across higher education, institutions are reimagining alumnae engagement to create stronger, more direct connections between graduates and their alma mater. On May 4, 2022, after thoughtful deliberation, the Bennett College Board of Trustees adopted a new model of alumnae engagement designed to:
- Expand Participation: Increase alumnae involvement by removing membership dues as a barrier.
- Align with Mission: Ensure alumnae activities, events, and advocacy support the College’s strategic priorities.
- Clarify Donor Relationships: Reduce confusion by engaging alumnae directly in their giving to the College.
- Strengthen Fundraising: Unify all alumnae fundraising under the Office of Institutional Advancement, maximizing impact for initiatives such as our Centennial Campaign.
- Enhance Stewardship: Provide alumnae donors with direct stewardship and reporting from the College, building trust and encouraging future support.
