Three Bennett College students have been selected for The White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity through Historically Black Colleges and Universities’ ninth cohort of HBCU Scholars. Zairen Jackson ‘26, Trinity Cromwell ‘24, and Zakyha Jones-Walker ‘24 received this prestigious recognition for their accomplishments in academics, leadership, civic engagement and much more. Congratulations to Betty Watson, Default Management Coordinator at Bennett College and President of Old L Richardson (OLR) Neighborhood Association, whose leadership has been recognized by the Greensboro Police Department for her efforts around National Night Out, an initiative to keep the city safe. OLR Neighborhood Association was founded by Ms. Delsene Hauser in 2002 with a purpose to work with the Greensboro Police to uphold harmony in the local community.
