During Black Business Month, we are excited to announce the grand opening of the new Women’s Business Center of Greensboro located on the campus of Bennett College. Bennett College has partnered with the National Institute of Minority Economic Development (The Institute) and the Small Business Administration to support women-owned businesses in Guilford County. Bennett College is the first and only women’s college in the country to have a Women’s Business Center located on its campus. The community and students will have direct access to the skills, tools and information needed to thrive as entrepreneurs. Exciting!
On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, dignitaries from the Small Business Administration and the community will gather to celebrate this historic opportunity for women business owners and to announce the services and programming to be offered to the community. This kick-off event will also serve as a networking opportunity between women and minority entrepreneurs as well as emerging leaders who are shaping the future economic foundation of Guilford County. To make this moment even more special, both The Institute and Bennett College share a common bond with a woman near and dear to both organizations – Ms. Andrea Harris, who was the founder of The Institute and an alumna of Bennett college.
Ladies, get your Squares ready, it’s time to Do Business!
