The Communications & Experience Office promotes and protects the BENNETT COLLEGE brand by regulating the use of the College’s trademarks, names, and logos. BENNETT COLLEGE has partnered with CLC, through its CORE81 program, to administer and manage its licensing program. Through this partnership, companies that want to produce BENNETT COLLEGE branded merchandise must be officially licensed through CORE81.
Licensing Process
Through CORE81 licensees will have the ability to enter the program as a standard licensee, meaning royalty bearing. All licensees are fully vetted to ensure the College knows where each item is produced and sold. Licensees new to the CORE81 platform are required to pay a non-refundable $100 application fee, paid to CLC, to process the application. No other fees are incurred at the time of application. Licensees are required to submit sales monthly. Royalties are calculated by CORE81 staff based on royalty rates set by the institution. Royalty reports are distributed to clients on a quarterly basis.
Full Brand Control
Through the CORE81 platform, the College will maintain full brand control. The College will decide which vendors are able to produce BENNETT COLLEGE product, and where they can sell that product. In addition, the College will review all branded products prior to production to ensure quality and brand integrity. CORE81 also provides leverage to the College in the event a licensee produces a product with incorrect branding. The College will then be able to communicate with the licensee and have them remove and replace the incorrect items from the marketplace.
FAQs for Internal College Purchases

A: Not a problem. The CLC staff will assist the vendor and get them up and running as quickly as possible.
Q: How do I know if my vendor is licensed?
A: CLC can provide the institution with updated licensee lists for this purpose.
Q: How much does it cost for a license with CLC?
A: There is a one-time application fee of $100 and then an annual renewal fee of $25. Royalty rates are set by the institution and assessed when a vendor submits their sales reports.
