Naaliah Askia-Green – Chile

During my spring semester of 2019, I was able to study abroad in Santiago de Chile. It was my first time abroad! During my time in this beautiful country, I was able to cross many things off my bucket list! I was also able to make lifelong friendships with fellow women of color in the program. I was also afforded the opportunity to make lasting relationships with many Chileans, while also gaining a second family!

I had the opportunity to interview a world famous tattoo artist, and I joined the Student Council at my school for the entire stay in Santiago.  The CIEE Santiago staff were amazing and always there when you needed them. Shout out to Evelyn Córdova Villanueva, Director for being an amazing advocate for the students under her care.
