Dr. Dawkins serves as panelist at Yale, attends UNCF meeting where two alumnae were recognized


This week, after serving as a panelist during Yale University’s Higher Education Leadership Summit at the Yale School of Management in New Haven, Connecticut, on January 30, Bennett College President Dr. Phyllis Worthy Dawkins attended “UNCF Benefits for Bennett College,” in Washington, D.C., on January 31. During the UNCF meeting, UNCF leadership, including CEO Michael L. Lomax, Early W. Reese, chief operating officer, and Lodriguez Murray, vice president of Public Policy and Government Affairs, presented the ways by which UNCF benefits Bennett College and also how Bennett can take more advantage of UNCF’s resources and opportunities. During these presentations, Bennett graduates Pia Holland ’09 and Kenya Gray ’99, from the UNCF Department of Scholarships, Programs, Internships and Fellowship, were acknowledged as “Bennett Belles”. Holland has worked for UNCF since 2007, and Gray has worked for UNCF since 2011.
