Honors Convocation Set for November 7

Bennett College will gather in celebration on Friday, November 7, for its annual Honors Convocation—an academic tradition recognizing the College’s highest-achieving students and reaffirming Bennett’s legacy of scholarship, leadership, and service. The ceremony will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM EST in Annie Merner Pfeiffer Chapel on the campus of Bennett College. The event is open to the public and will also be livestreamed at bennett.edu/live.

Bennett College celebrates academic excellence for the prior academic year each Fall during honors ceremonies. This year, more than 100 Bennett Belles will be recognized for distinguishing themselves through exceptional academic achievement. The program will salute students who have earned placement on the President’s List (4.0 gpa or above), Honors List (3.50-3.99 gpa) and Dean’s List (3.0-3.49 gpa) —young women who represent the highest standards of academic rigor and intellectual commitment.

Honors Convocation stands as one of Bennett College’s most cherished academic ceremonies. It celebrates not only achievement, but character—calling forward the ideals that define Bennett women: discipline, intellectual curiosity, civic engagement, and the responsibility to lead with purpose.

As the College moves toward its Centennial—celebrating 100 years as an institution dedicated to women and women’s education—Honors Convocation affirms Bennett’s commitment to academic excellence and scholarly achievement, honoring the students who exemplify those ideals.

This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Phanalphie Rhue, Chief Global Communications & Experience Officer at Bennett College, where she leads the institution’s storytelling, marketing, media strategy, and brand vision as a member of the President’s Cabinet. A creative force and transformational leader, Rhue merges innovation and narrative to empower the next generation of women leaders and expand the reach of the Bennett story to audiences nationwide.
