Like the Class of 1970, the Class of 1971 did not have the opportunity to celebrate their 50th Reunion in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While that milestone moment was postponed, it was not forgotten.
The Class of 1971 was invited back to campus during Bennett College’s Centennial Celebration to finally celebrate the reunion experience they missed five years ago. It was an opportunity to honor their 50th Reunion milestone, reconnect with sisters, and celebrate the lasting bond they share with Bennett College. Through their generosity and dedication, they have contributed an impressive $26,028.66 in support of the institution that helped shape their lives. Their commitment reminds us of the powerful words of our Alma Mater:
“Ever lovelier shalt thou live,
As thy daughters freely give;
Ever glorious above,
Testimonies of our love.”
The women of 1971 embody these words through both their giving and their service. They understand that supporting Bennett extends beyond financial contributions—it includes sharing their time, talents, wisdom, leadership, and love with the College, its students, and the broader community.
Their support reflects one of Bennett’s greatest strengths: our ability to know and nurture every student. At Bennett, students are more than numbers. They are known by name, celebrated for their achievements, encouraged in their leadership, and supported throughout their journey. Our smallness has always been our strength.
