Bennett College Undertakes National Search for New Vice President of Business and Finance, Appoints Ms. Latonya Flamer As Interim Head
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Bennett College announced that it will conduct a nationwide search for a new Vice President of Business and Finance to help strengthen its operations and lead the College through its accreditation processes with SACSCOC and TRACS. The previous Vice President of Business and Finance resigned on April 2, 2019.

Ms. Latonya Flamer has been appointed as Interim Vice President of Business and Finance. Ms. Flamer has been with Bennett College for over 10 years and previously served as the Associate Vice President for Business and Finance and Controller. Ms. Flamer has a wealth of higher education finance experience and is widely respected in her field.
The Board of Trustees also recently engaged an accounting firm to conduct a forensic evaluation of the College’s financial records and practices. The firm found no evidence of fiscal mismanagement or misappropriation. This review and the leadership change are essential steps in the College’s ongoing efforts to ensure its long-term viability.
In addition to a review of the Finance Department, the College recently completed investigations related to alleged Title IX violations and bullying. No violations were found.
