Returning Students: Welcome back to Bennett College!

Welcome Back! We are super excited for your return to Bennett College for the 2025 -2026 academic school year. We hope you have been having a relaxing and fulfilling summer. Please see the below next steps that MUST be complete BEFORE you arrive back on campus. You will not be permitted to move into the residence hall until ALL processes are COMPLETE, no exceptions. Returning Student Move-In: August 15 - 17, 2025

IMPORTANT: RETURNING STUDENT CHECKLIST

Finalize your financial aid and complete all financial aid documents

b. Accept your financial aid package
c. Sign any outstanding documents

View Your Billing Information:

  • The Billing Statement reflects the charges and credits applied to your student account as of the date the bill was created. Access the student billing account information by logging into Sonis. Once you are in Sonis, at the top of the page, select Billing & Financial Aid.
  • To see your statement, select “Click here to view statement” in Sonis.Please reference the Anticipated Balance Due at the bottom of the page which will include your tuition and additional fees.

Set up a Payment Plan if you have an Anticipated Balance due:

  • Access the student payment plan information by logging into Sonis. Once you are in Sonis, at the top of the page, select Billing & Financial Aid.
  • To set up a payment plan, select “Click here to access Nelnet” in Sonis.

Complete your Housing Application in SONIS and pay your $100 annual housing fee

c. Roommate requests will be honored on a first come first served basis, no guarantee

Check SONIS for your class schedule

Move In Weekend:
Friday August 15th- Sunday August 17th

If you will be living on campus, please check your emails from Ms. Pridgen about your arrival time and room assignment. There will be activities/sessions set up for you and your families on Friday and Saturday. Sunday will be a special ceremony to celebrate the beginning of your new journey as you say goodbye to your families.

Microwaves

Students are provided a refrigerator and microwave in the common area of their residential suite. If your room assignment is in Merner Hall, then you may bring a microwave.

Student Access and Success

Student access and success are the focal points of our work within Academic Affairs and Student Experience. The programs, services, resources, and learning and engagement opportunities we provide were created specifically with you, our students, in mind. Please know that supporting your academic, career and personal-wellness goals are what we enjoy most.

Get Involved

We encourage you to get involved in some of the numerous on-campus events and organizations we offer to help you build new relationships, expand your knowledge and skills or learn new ones — maybe even pursue a new hobby or interest outside your comfort zone.

Many of the networking, service, educational and leadership opportunities these activities offer not only foster your academic success but also help you land a job after graduation.

Counseling Services & Accessibility Services

Bennett College also provides essential resources to help with a wide range of challenges impacting today's college students. For example, we offer confidential counseling services and accessibility services are available for students who would like to self-identify any limits they may have. Your success in and out of the classroom is important to us.

For your academic needs, visit the visit the Office of Student Success, along with the Writing Center. Ms. Tonya Doane, Director of Student Success will work with you to get you acclimated to the College and your academic schedule.
