The Class of 1970 was unable to return to campus to celebrate their 50th Reunion due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions that accompanied it. While that milestone moment was missed, it was certainly not forgotten.
During our Centennial Commencement Celebration, the Office of Alumnae Engagement proudly welcomed the Class of 1970 back to Bennett College for the opportunity they were denied five years ago—to walk through the historic Bearden Gates alongside their classmates and receive the recognition they so richly deserved as Golden Belles.
It was a powerful and emotional moment, one that reflected the enduring bond between Bennett College and the women who call it home.
The Class of 1970 continues to demonstrate that their love for Bennett extends far beyond their years on campus. Through their generosity and commitment, they have contributed an impressive $37,602.96, helping to ensure that future generations of Bennett women have access to the same transformative educational experience that shaped their lives.
Their return to campus was not simply a reunion—it was a celebration of resilience, sisterhood, and unfinished moments finally fulfilled.
We honor the Class of 1970 for their unwavering support, their dedication to Mother Bennett, and the example they continue to set for alumnae everywhere.
