Bennett College Social Work Program Accreditation Is Reaffirmed by the Council on Social Work Education

Greensboro, N.C. – Bennett College’s baccalaureate degree in social work has been reaffirmed by the Council on Social Work Education’s Council on Accreditation (COA). At its October 2019 meeting, the COA reviewed reaffirmation materials submitted earlier by the college and voted to reaffirm the program’s accreditation for eight years, ending in June 2027.
“The eight-year reaffirmation of accreditation for our social work program underscores Bennett’s excellence in preparing the next generation of young women to enter this vitally important field,” said Suzanne Walsh, JD, President of Bennett College.
Founded in 1952, the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is the national association representing social work education in the United States. CSWE’s Commission on Accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as the sole accrediting agency for social work education in the United States and its territories.
