The Counseling Center gives students a safe, relaxed and confidential environment to work through individual challenges and stressors. The goal is to provide quality counseling and mental health services to enhance personal, social, academic and intellectual growth. The Center works with students to help improve self-awareness, gain independence and skills to handle difficult situations.

Confidentiality
The Counseling and Health Centers ensure confidentiality. This means that information shared between student and counselor cannot be released to anyone, including family or college, without consent of student. The only time confidentiality can be released is if a student is in danger of harming herself or others.

Appointments can be made via phone, email, the counseling services webpage, or face-to-face and should be initiated by the student even, if referred by faculty or staff.
